The Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) was formed in 1937 to serve as the advocate in Texas and the indispensable resource for the foodservice industry.

Today, as a leading business association, TRA represents the state’s $33 billion restaurant industry, which is comprised of 50,000 plus locations and a workforce of over 995,000 employees. The Connecticut Restaurant Association (CRA) is the state's hospitality industry's advocate and has been a vital part of the Connecticut hospitality industry since 1973.

Founded as the "Associated Restaurants of Connecticut", AROC as it was called, served its members through educational and training programs, as well as its ongoing legislative efforts. CRA is proud to carry on these programs, goals and efforts today.
